CertBinder

Privacy policy

Last updated August 2026.

What we collect

Your name and email address, the credential details you enter (certification types, numbers, dates, CE hours), the files you upload (cards, licenses, IDs, certificates), your questions to the AI assistant, and standard technical logs (IP address, timestamps). We collect nothing else, and we never collect patient information: CertBinder is for your own professional records, not clinical data.

How it is stored

Uploaded files are encrypted at rest. Passwords are stored only as salted Argon2 hashes. Data lives on servers in the United States. Scans of government identification are sensitive, and we treat every uploaded file with the same encryption whether it is a fishing license or a passport card.

How it is used

Your data is used to run CertBinder for you: showing your dashboard, computing CE progress, sending the reminder emails you configure, and answering your assistant questions. Assistant questions and relevant account context are processed by an AI model through Amazon Web Services. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train models.

Who else touches it

Three service providers: Amazon Web Services (hosting, file storage, AI processing), Stripe (payments; we never see your card number), and our email provider (verification, reset, and reminder emails). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Your rights

Export your data any time from the Export page. Delete your account and every piece of your data any time from the Account page, immediately and permanently, no email required. For anything else, including a copy of this data in another form, email support@certbinder.org.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we email account holders before the change takes effect.
